Nick Johnson holds a master's degree in American history from Colorado State University and a bachelor's degree in news-editorial journalism from Southern Illinois University. As Associate Editor, Johnson has edited hundreds of articles for the Colorado Encyclopedia and has researched, written, or co-written dozens of others, including fifty of the site's sixty-four county articles. His first book, Grass Roots: A History of Cannabis in the American West, was released in October 2017.
