Ruth Alexander is a professor of history at Colorado State University. As a scholar and teacher, she is especially interested in ideas, institutions, experiences, and relationships of power that are associated with modernity, gender, and race and with natural and built environments. In addition to being a professor of history, Alexander is a principal Investigator at CSU's Public Lands History Center.
