Geary is the author of Sea of Sand: A History of Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve, published in 2016 by the University of Oklahoma Press. The book is the second volume in CSU's Public Lands History Center book series and is the definitive history of the natural, cultural, and political forces that helped shape Colorado's incomparable Great Sand Dunes.
