Katherine Honda

Research Librarian
Auraria Campus

Kathy Honda is a research librarian at the Auraria Campus Library and a volunteer librarian at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Finding works by Arthur Lakes became her passion, as she unearthed ever increasing numbers hidden away in obscure (by today’s standards) undigitized journals and newspapers. Along with Beth Simmons, she has co-authored papers about Arthur Lakes's rediscovered findings with CU-Denver’s Dr. Martin Lockley. Honda is an active member of the Friends of Dinosaur Ridge and the Denver Gem and Mineral Guild and serves as Colorado State Director for the Rocky Mountain Federation of Mineralogical Societies.
